Wow, the blossoms have been busy...

We have been so busy, and that is probably because Boo has been really busy whipping up some more gorgeous kits for you all! We have seriously been a bunch of scrappin' nuts around here...lol
I am going to start with the most recent and work my way back, just in case you all missed some of these gorgeous beauties!

First off let me say Boo is alive and feeling her OATS!!! She is back at Stone Accents Studio with a bang. She is hosting the Color Challenge again and here is the palette for this months kit. Pretty isn't it?

Quicky update on BOO

Well, let me tell you BOO is a very BUSY Lady and is keeping the Blossoms busy also.

She is working our fingers to the bone, helping get her newest projects off the ground. What are they, you might ask? Well I am not sure I can tell you but it has to do with some new product venues. I cannot tell you where YET but I can tell you that BoolandDesigns store is still going strong and she really does like for everyone to visit her there.

I know she has a few new kits coming out, have seen a couple of them and they are YUMMY, but then her kits always are, aren't they? You can expect some interesting new stores in her future for sure. Also I am almost positive there will be new Freebies.

Ok I had better go before I SPILL to many of the Beans...LOL Will try to keep everyone updated on what is going on.

Well she is almost totally back, has to get the PS to working again, but she just popped in and sent a couple of gifts for all of you faithfull readers (I know I should have been better about keeping everyone in the loop). Let's see which should I do first, the HUGE sale ad or the freebie?

Dec SAS Color Challenge PB

That kit WILL be posted and yes I do have it, still trying to figure out exactly how to give it out. It is our plan to give all the PB's that Boo had provided to us for both SAS and BooLand Designs. Sometimes the file we get is not named the same as the name on the preview and we are having to look though MANY folders to find the right one. That is why the DSO Dec CC kit has now been posted both on Boo's blog and on the Blossom's blog, but better posted twice than not at all.

This has been a little confusing to the Blossoms, since we have no way to 'talk' to Boo, to know what her plans are fot the PBs. I do know she would want her fans to have have whatever is due them and we will try our hardest to get them online, but not all at once. I also think there will be some of the older PBs that I will post for those newer visitors to collect. AS you all know Boo does not know how to make a mini-kit so they would be a good addition to a scrappers Stash...LOL

Hey, but I didn't manage to mess up the links like I usually do....LOL

Check back in a couple of days and I will try to have the SAS Dec CC PB online. RIght now I have to go help my hubby with his eye that he just had surgery on.

I was looking though the kits we had gotten from Boo before the BIG CRASH and found her entry for KimB's Dec Color Challenge at DSO, which had never gotten posted to my knowledge. As you all know she has faithfully made a kit for that challenge since way back before she actually started selling her designs. So with KimB's permission I am posting it here as a FREEBIE from Boo. Who knows I just might find more of them hidden away on my External Hard Drive.

Ok so Christmas is over for 2008 but I would think you could use this for many different seasons.

UPDATE on Booland Designs and Boo herself

I know everyone has been wondering what is going on with Booland Designs, so here is what I know.

Boo's computer crashed big time and she doesn't have the funds to replace it right at this time. Along with that problem she is also have serious personal problems, and might be out of action for as much as 4 months. The store will remain open, with hopefully some new kits added from time to time IF and that is a BIG IF, she manages to get another computer sooner than she thinks she will be able to do it.

Please keep her in your prayers and do check with us from time to time for some freebies made by Boo's Blossoms. All we ask is remember Booland Designs and support her as much as possible and visit her store as often as you can.

Happy Past and Future Holidays...LOL

I must be the World's Worst Blogger, and that will be my New Year's Resolution to remember to blog at least once a week on this blog and my personal one also.

There have been so many ups and downs at Booland Designs, computers dying, gallery and forum rolling over and playing dead, but Boo and Her Blossoms have continued to create. Between computer failures Boo has created MANY new kits for the month of December. Today I want to highlight one of them, 'Santa's On His Way' and you can find it at SAS and in the Booland Designs Store.

Isn't it a Cutie? I liked it so much I have used it twice already and Christmas isn't even here yet....LOL

The first layout is called Traditions and was for one of ChrissyW's template challenges. Of course it is of my Family

The second is All Mallory, showing off his Christmas Photos and is called Mallory, Christmas 2008. Along with Boo's Kit I used Andrea Gold's Free template 316. Everything on the layout is made using only the papers from the kit.

I'll be back later with some more previews of the new kits and layouts made by other Blossoms. Also you should make sure to check Boo's Blog for her new releases. By the way, there is a special blog for the Booland Challenges and you can find it here. Boo even set up a place where everyone can send their entries since our Gallery is having serious problems and has been taken down. You can pick up the Color Challenge kit there and you can also grab the font for the font challenge.

PS!!!!!!!!!! Boo took part in both the CHRISTMAS AROUND THE WORLD and the SAS CHRISTMAS CAROL trains. There certainly is a lot of beautiful work on both of those Trains.

Changes in BooLand

We have had many problems with our gallery, from not being able to access some of the albums, to confusion with how to upload and find layouts. Boo has decided to change to a more user-friendly gallery layout, but the improvements come with a price. In order to switch to the new gallery, we will have to delete the old one, and all the layouts that have already been uploaded will be lost. We have tried to find a way around this, with no luck. We sincerely apologize for any inconvience and are certain that the new gallery will be worth the trouble of switching. Keep watch on Boo's blog for updates on the progress of our "construction", and for the time being do not upload any new layouts to the gallery. The new gallery should be up and running this week.

Another change is that once the new gallery is online, we will also have a forum! We will have all or challenges posted there, and lots of other fun stuff!

Remember the APPLE ORCHARD DAD is still going on, I know you will not want to miss a part of it. I promise another goodie later in the week and I'll bet there are other things lurking around, just waiting to pop up for you all.

Apple Orchard Extra Gift

I was in a very creative mood last night, which was totally the other extreme from the way I felt...LOL So I thought, why not make a couple of layouts using the wonderful DAD from Boo, (which you can pick up at her Store, just click on the link......) Apple Orchard After I finished the layouts, it was easy for me to just make them into Quick Pages so I can share them with you, so I did and here is a preview of the layouts. Of course they will look the same but you cannot have my Grandkids,,,,LOL,,,, so I removed the photos....

BTW.... I used a CU template from Andrea Gold for QP1 and a very nice template from Michelle Filo for QP2. Everything else used is from the DAD's downloads, including the cute word art.

If anyone makes any layouts with the DAD Apple Orchard we certainly would love to see them. We do have an album set up at in the Gallery, but since we have had some problems with it, it is getting a make-over, not just the album, but the whole Gallery. It will be much easier to use when Boo and her Crew are finished. I also heard in the near future we should have our very own Forum. That will be so great, we can post our Challenges there and also get to know, all of you that join in the Blossom's fun. You can get your Daily dose of Apple Orchard in Boo's Store. I keep hearing that an Apple a day will keep the Doctor away, so you might as well give it a try....:)

Remember that we do have a FONT Challenge going on and Boo has made us a very nice Posting Bonus to give to all that post their layouts using the font. You can find more about it if you scroll down for the previous 2 posts.

Couple of things right off. I understand there have been some problems with the downloads, but Boo and Michelle have corrected the ones they know about. Check the Stores Blog to get any directions you need. Also, besure to check out the Font Challenge, it is a couple of posts down, so just scroll until you find it. That font is really nice. Oh I just found out that I gave credit for one of the layouts to the wrong person, It was by Melinda not Michelle. At least the first name starts with the same letter...LOL

DAD day 3 and preview of a new kit

Here it is day 3 of Boo's Fantastic DAD called Apple Orchard. You can find it in the store and Boo wanted me to remind everyone about this.

You may find that the preview does not show the same papers as those in this file. Please do not worry about this. All papers shown in the previews will be available in the DAD series. They just may have been mixed up a little. You will not get any repeats. Sorry for any inconvenience but we hope you'll understand this is a very big kit and takes a lot of organizing to divide into your DAD mini's. Thanks so much for your understanding.

All of the DAD's can be picked up at the store. They are under the category called Daily DOwnloads.

Hey ALL!

The Blossoms are still around and kicking. I just got a little sidetracked over the summer. Boo had PC problems and then went on holiday, and of course while the Cat's away, the Mice get lazy....LOL

OH YEAH! I almost forgot to tell you I KNOW A SECRET!!!! It has to do with BOO and I am not going to spill the beans but if you promise not to tell Boo I will show you a tiny sneak preview of what it is.

But while you are waiting, you need to run over to Stone Accents Studio and grab all the Goodies from the Members Mega Kit. It is being created by some Designers and some like myself, those that just love to make pretties. You can find them here in the

A Saturday update

Sorry I haven't been taking care of business, but you all know how Summers can be,,,,LAZY.....LOL

I wanted to tell you all about Boo's newest venture. She is selling in a new store called Commercial-use.com and boy does she have some beautiful overlays there. From Dotty to Textiles, something for every taste. They look to me to be a must have if you have any interest in making your own papers. Here is a look at them

Aren't these beautiful? If I had the desire to be a designer I would just have to have them all. I can tell you Boo is very busy making new things but has been sick with that dreaded Hayfever (I didn't know that it happened in the UK, thought it was just a US thing) so it is slowing her down a bit.

A little birdie told me she has made some new freebies to be released soon and the Blossom's just might have some too. I think we are going to make some Alphas to match some of her latest kits, but not sure just who is making what....Yet.

I guess that is all from me for today, just spending a very lazy day at home, playing with some kits and reading, so I'll wish all a very pleasant Father's Day tomorrow and hopefully the rivers in Iowa will stop flooding those poor people out of their home.

Here it is Friday again......

Whew, this year is speeding past way too fast for me. I can remember as a child (back when dirt was young), time just dragged but now it passes me right by. Seems like just yesterday I was wondering if my sons would ever get grown and out of my hair, now I really miss those days. Oh well, enough of that on to the news.

Boo must have more energy than that Pink Bunny with the drum, she just keeps going 90 miles an hour. She didn't have enough to keep her busy with the stores she is in NOW she has joined another one, but this one is a little different. It is Commercial use products, you can see her products here at Commercial-use.com . If you ever thought about being a designer this is the store for you. I'll show some of her creations next post, but I can tell you they are beautiful.

Sometimes I think I NEED a new stick or two of RAM in my brain. Posting about the new store was part of what I had planned but I wanted to tell you there is a wonderful new kit over at DSO and it has Boo's name on it...LOL The kit is called Faded Bouquet and is very pretty and it is on sale. 2 Things to talk about today

First things first, I have been asking for layouts made with Boo's fantastic 100Days Freebies and we got another fabulous one from Pat Sanders in the UK. It shows her celebrating a milestone birthday with her hubby. I wonder if she dressed in those colors for the kit, or did the kit just happen to be perfect for her dress?????

Now on to the other thing I wanted to tell you about. BOO has her first kit up at DSO and it a beauty and not only is it new, it is on sale along with the very nice Heart shaped quick pages. If you want to see it in the store just click on any of the pictures.

I even linked the preview of these lovely pages.
I'll be showing off some of the pages we have been making for Boo using her newer things, as soon as they are in the stores. So do keep checking with us to see what else is in the works.

I am so glad Boo is with DSO , it is one of the first stores I found when I started Digi-scrapping and I found them to be very helpful. Bunny and her Girls are so much fun, Bunny and KimB keeps me in stitches. Now with Boo there also, I can tell you it will be lively for sure...LOL

It sure made me all warm and fuzzy feeling as I read the comments on each of the MANY downloads to celebrate DAY 100. So from the bottom of my heart I want to thank you for telling her how much she means to each of you.

Post before last I had asked for layouts you all had made using this gift kit, and have gotten only a couple to show off here, so how about it folks, want to share with the Blossoms and Boo too of course? Another week gone.....

Well another week has passed right by me and I got very little done. I should be doing Spring Cleaning, since we are having company over the weekend, but cleaning is so YUKKY...LOL Our youngest son is coming home for Memorial Day weekend and for his brother's 39th birthday, and he is bringing his Lady Friend with him. So I will be having lots of fun visiting with them.

Last post I asked for layouts using the 100Days Freebies, and I got a real winner to show off here today. OK so Boo did show it off on her blog already but it is very nice and I think it should be shown as many times as possible. It was made by Nancy aka kathleena (as she is known around the NET). I just love layouts using flowers.

The flowers are perfect with this kit.

Well guess this one will have to be short since it is past my bedtime... You know how the older generation is, we have to have our sleep time. So in closing, Happy Scrapping from Boo and her Blossoms.

Well, maybe I didn't see a big old light bulb, but while visiting the Boss Lady's blog, I thought how nice it would be if those of you that have used her wonderful 100 Days Freebies to make layouts, would share them with me so I can post them here so she can see how pretty they are. About the BIG SECRET, I have seen a little of it and you are gonna be lovin' the whole thing and soon, I think. That is one of the wonderful things about being on her Creative Team, we do get the first look at her new things. Hey she has to have something to show the rest of the world when she releases new kits, right? I can tell you this, IT IS BIG and all of you will really be surprised at what it is....TEE HEE Too bad she will not allow me to give hints, 'cause I sure would, being the kind of gal I am , you know...LOL

While we have been on vacation, I have been busy burning DVDs of my kits and pages, due to one of the CTs losing her external hard drive, I thought I had better get my good stuff all tucked away for safe keeping. I also have done some organizing of things so maybe I can find what I am looking for when I want it. Hey I even had a couple of days where I WANTED to clean closets, hubby thought I had lost my mind and then he realized that must mean I wanted to go shopping so I could fill it up again. So he wasn't near as happy as he was when I started that chore. I have been filling boxes with clothes I haven't worn in several years and passing them on to the Salvation Army Store, tried to give them to the local Women's Center but they didn't need them. So along with the other things I recycle, I do the same with clothes.

I have made a couple of layouts but nothing much in the scrapping mode for the past week or so, but I know we will be very busy just before the announcement of the BIG SECRET.

SHHHHHHHHHH I know a BIG SECRET

If you do not see the Blossoms much in the next week or so, never fear we are around. Our fearless leader has us working on some new projects that we cannot tell you about YET!!!!

We are going to have some special goodies for all of you on National Scrapbooking Day May 3rd, but that isn't the BIG Secret. Nope I ain't a gonna spill the beans early, but I can tell you this, YOU ARE ALL GOING TO LOVE IT!!!!!! For the NSD you will probably have to visit several of our different blogs and you can find the links on the right side of the page. That way I do not have to do all the uploading....LOL Plus you get a chance to get to know us a little better.

As for the problem with posting comments on 4shared, the way around it is to just to put in the password again when it sends you back to that page. Of course you have to re-post your comment, but we so love to read them.

Competition is officially closed

What fun this has been for the Blossoms and for our readers I hope. Each layout has been unique and amazing, there is some outstanding talent out there, ladies and now for the final entries.

Sorry I have been missing in action, didn't mean we weren't getting new layouts to post just means I was busy doing my own scrapping, babysitting and chasing critters. More about that later after you see the wonderful entries to be posted today.

Now about my critters....LOL I live in a small town in SE Texas, 20,000+ folks, but is still kinda rural, with lots of vacant land around and it's share of local wildlife. Well, a family of Possums have taken up residents in my backyard, not that I really mind that too much. Drives the dog crazy when she can see the little ones but cannot catch them since they can climb a tree and she cannot. Well this past Sunday I was sitting enjoying the birdsong and reading my book, when I hear a strange noise in my breakfast room, upon checking it out, I found a baby Possum had come in through the open patio door. Took awhile but I rescued my house from it, and relocated it across the road on a vacant field. Monday I saw one in the backyard, so with camera in hand and small dog in front, I managed to get the photos I just had to scrap for the post tonight...LOL Kit is BoolandDesigns, Birthstone Series, May Emerald and you can find it at Stone Accents Studio. The template is by Beth Long and since I had wanted to try brackets this was perfect.

'Nuther new Competition layout to show off

Spring sure has been slow in arriving at some places. Just got another layout, this one from Ontario Canada. It shows the poor little birdies shivering in the cold but I guess they thought since the calender said it was Spring they should come on back home.

Tonight's entry comes to us from Mary in Alberta. Talk about a severe weather change, they sure had one up there (well it is up from where I am down here in Texas). I love the way she showed what a difference 3 days can make in Springtime weather. While she was dealing with snow, I was running around is shorts and enjoying being outside in the sunshine and admiring all the pretty flowers that are in bloom.

I am having so much fun!!! I get to open emails and NOT find spam, bad news or anything but beauty. What more could a Girl want??? LOL

The entries are coming in and from all over the globe. So far Ohio is ahead in entries but I am certain that will change. All of the entries are very well done, and the photos are so bright and cheery, makes me want to give the flowers a quick sniff, they all look so real.

The time has come for the Competition to start. As I take a deep breath, and try to do a mental check to see if all our little Gifties are in a row, the T's crossed and the I's dotted, I so want this to be fun.

The requirements are as follows:

The BIGGEST requirement of ALL is to have fun and create. I know we have enjoyed working with the kits and I a certain you will have fun too!!!!!!!!!!!!

Layout must be made with the sample of Spring Passions that Boo has provided on her blog and The Sampler can be found HERE

1) We want to see what Spring looks like where you live. I realize it isn't Spring in all places, but whatever the season is that follows Winter is what we are looking for. It can be flowers, places, people, pets or anything that means Spring to you. Just use at least 2 photographs and tell us a little about your World, please.

2) You choose the size for your layout, it can be any of the standard sizes. For our purposes the preview needs to be 600x600 72dpi (just like you do for the galleries).

3) Templates are allowed. Just be sure to give credit to the designer.

4) All previews are to be emailed to us at mailto:BoosBlossomBlog@Hotmail.com
and please send them as attachments along with the credits and the name you would want to be shown on the Blog.

5) The prizes will be BragBook pages and Cdpages. Each entry will receive a thank you gift from Boo and the Blossoms for taking the time to come play with us.

6) Final day to enter your layout is April 21st and all prize links will be sent out by the end of the month.

7) All entries will be posted on the blog in the order we receive them, be sure to check it to see what all has been done. Of course there is no Adult material allowed.

Just a little quicky note to answer a couple of comments

Ok I am not sure what season it is in many parts of the world, I think South of the Equator, it is going into what is Fall for us, am I right? So just do the layouts showing the season that follows your Winter. I actually had this discussion with my Hubby last night after I had made my post, and we decided it was just reversed in other parts of the World.

The idea is to see how it looks in your town/city/village after the Winter is gone...LOL I think all of us, long for the coming of the new plants, the baby birds and such, after the dreary weather of Winter has left us behind. I know I can hardly wait for the Wisteria and Amaryllis to pop open their buds, to see a mound of wonderful purple Wisteria and the varied colors of the Amaryllis, is my Spring Tonic.

As for it being a Competition instead of a Challenge, is so we can award more prizes...LOL We are hoping that we get more entries this way, more varity and such. I am not much into competing myself, but do challenges all the time, and Hubby says it is competing, so I guess either way works. Enter and you will get a goodie pack, be one of the ones picked and get more goodies. I will be showing the previews of all the pretty things the Blossoms made for you on Monday evening.

I am getting excited as I see the prizes coming in. Two of the Blossoms Rusty and Michelle, have created some of the prettiest Bragbook pages and CD pages, you will ever want to see. They were all created with BoolandDesign's SPRING PASSION, and they are so yummy, you are just going to drool when you see them on Tuesday morning. SO do not forget to run over to Boo's Blog and grab the sampler so you will have it on hand to create your layouts for the Competition.

This Competiton will have a theme. We want to see what Spring looks like where you live, but that is all I am telling now...LOL There will be a few more requirements, but this gives you time to snap a few pictures if you do not already have a stash. If I can get permission I'll show a little sneek peek of the prizes over the weekend.

Ok I am a slacker, like lots of other bloggers. Boo asked for someone to help with this blog and GUESS WHAT? I stepped across that line in the sand...LOL Then I promptly forgot to update the blog, silly me..

I have been trying to come up with a neat challenge for you all, (I was thinking something to do with Spring, of course) but was waiting for her new kits to hit the stores. I have seen a couple of them and let me tell you they are GREAT!!!!! It is more of the Birthstone kits and she has really outdone herself this time. I cannot show you a preview YET but will as soon as I get the ok from the BossLady...

Be sure to check out Boo's Blog you just never know what kind of goodies she will have for you. I know the 100 Days of Freebies is still going strong and if you scroll down a little way the page you can find a sampler for "Spring Passion" it is still active and the kit is on sale until the 27th of March at 25% off which makes it a real good deal

I am sure by now you have seen "SPRING PASSION" and love it as much as I do. Well the girls have been very busy making layouts with it and since they never seem to make it over here to share, I will for them. First a little preview of the kit and I am sure you will agree it is very special. You can find it at Stone Accents Studio

Another month half gone

Spring is coming, I just know it is.... I am so ready to take off to grab some more photos of flowers to scrap. When I cannot find anything else to play with that grabs my fancy, I turn to flowers and this month has had several times that for challenges flowers worked perfectly. Thought I would share a few with y'all and IF I can remember what challenge I made them for I'll tell you that also.

This was created using some of the freebies from the 100 Days and a template from Julie Cohen at SAS for her Template challenge. Flowers were grown by my Cousins and hopefully they will be in full bloom when we have the Family Reunion at their house on the Trinity River, so I can get more photos to scrap.
Now this one was done for KimB's Color Challenge at DSO, using Boo's kit she made for that challenge. I used one of Jaana Saker's Templates to showcase this terrible, stinging plant.

This one showcases one of Boo's older freebies and a template by TrishH Designs, Templates-n-More at DoItDigi and was created for her 2nd template challenge at DID for March. This Wisteria bush that is in my front yard, it is about 30/40 years old and used to stand like a tree but time and old age has caused it to sag, but it still blooms it's heart out every year.

So, I don't want you girls to wait any longer. Its already been waaaaaaaaaaaaay too long so I'm popping the links for your PB's up here. 2 more Scraplifts

Today I was wandering around here looking at the links in the chatbox and found that we had another scraplift and then looked at the listed blog addresses of those that forgot to leave their email addresses so Boo could send their goodies to them and found that I had been scraplifted. Both ladies did outstanding jobs of the lifts, and I am so happy they liked my layouts enough to give them a try.

This first one is from KrisG and is called Grandchildren-The flowers in my garden and was lifted from my LO called SPRING.

This second one is from DotComma and is lifted from my LO called Buchart Gardens

Just thought you all would enjoy seeing these very nice layouts.

Well I am off to watch some TV, since I have been on this computer most of the day. Doing what you might ask, well I played A LOT of POGO, unzipped some files and played more POGO. I am so good at wasting time when I could be making layouts...LOL
